The Sidr or Canari tree is considered one of the most important trees in the Qatari environment, as home gardens are not without it, due to its tolerance of all weather factors, especially hot weather during the summer, in addition to it being one of the trees that has an attractive and green appearance due to the density of its branches and leaves. Many names were given to areas in Qatar in relation to the Sidr tree, the most prominent of which is the Busidra area.
